First of all, I would like to say a sayonara to my Sony Ericsson W850i. It has been a great a friend to me since August 2007. Although I love it very much (and I still love it), I have to move forward. It’s hard to resist new technologies like HSDPA and Wi-Fi, which lead me to get W995.

Why W995?
I’m a fan of Sony Ericsson Walkman phone series and I necessitate a Walkman phone with HSDPA and Wi-Fi features so that I feel like living in year 2009. After looking around at Sony Ericsson website, I’ve found out that W995 and W705 satisfy my lust needs. Nevertheless; I reckon W995 win over W705 due to

  • Better keypad. Yes, I don’t really like W705′s keypad and I think this is the main reason I don’t go for W705. I don’t know, I don’t feel comfortable with it.
  • 8.1 megapixel camera. Although I don’t really need this, it gives a point to have W995 over W705.
  • a-GPS. Again, I don’t really need it but it gives me a value added feature, so why not?

At a price of RM1999, it is still within by budget. Thus, without any doubt W995 is my choice. It seems my early predict is correct.

Where Did I Buy W995?
I went to KLCC last Saturday with the main objective to buy W995 :) When I reached Sony Style outlet, there is no W995 shown. Hence, I requested the Sony Style guy to show me W995. He did not hesitate to help me; according to him, their team has just tested W995 – this is the reason they did not exhibit W995 yet.

I am sorry that I did not really make a review. Sorry guys, I’m too busy and I guess it’s too early to tell my experience. Nevertheless, I can say I’m satisfied with W995 for the time being. Now, I’ve to go to Celcom outlet immediately to upgrade my 3G package to 3GX/HSDPA package ;)
