Indeed, I just bought myself ‘Ayat-Ayat Cinta’ (English: The Verses of Love) novel – of course, it’s Bahasa Malaysia edition. While I was at BB Plaza this evening to buy a pair of Nike5 Futsal glove (actually, I am an Adidas fan), I decided to enter MPH. Somehow, suddenly I’m thinking of buying this novel. So, there it is…If I can really remember, the last novel I bought was Original, back in circa 2002-2003.
Why I Bought This Novel? Under normal circumstance, I seldom read novel. As a typical IT guy, I normally read IT books/magazines that related to my career, especially about Unix/Linux System Administration. Phewww, I sound like a g33k, ain’t I?
Back before Eid Ul-Fitr, I knew the ‘Ayat-Ayat Cinta’ song which sings by Rossa. Although it is a good song, I just don’t give any damn since it’s just a typical jiwang (romantic) song by Rossa, e.g Atas Nama Cinta, Aku Bukan Untukmu etc.
Next, TV3 (if I’m not mistaken) aired ‘Ayat-Ayat Cinta’ the movie during the Eid Ul-Fitr. Again, I don’t give any attention until my youngest brother shows his interest with this movie. Hmm, ok then. I thought, maybe this movie is for a teenager like him and maybe it is as good as ‘Ada Apa Dengan Cinta’ film. Yes, it seems Haris was really enjoying the movie.
Here comes the real moment…several days ago, I saw this topic, Novel Ayat-ayat Cinta in ITTutor.net. After looking at the good comments and review by ITTutor comrades, I felt this novel (and movie maybe) is not an ordinary love/romantic novel. Therefore, I decided that I have to read this novel to know how good it is. With the price tag of RM23.90, this novel is mine today.
Too bad, I can only start reading this novel next week since I have to prioritize my free time to study for HP-UX exam which I plan to sit for next Friday. Nevertheless, I hope I can enjoy this novel so that it will give me a boost to watch the movie. Voila!
